Invalid namespace issue when installing Dynamics AX 2009 Reporting Extensions

Workaround: 64 bit Windows Server 2003, 64 bit SQL Server 2005 SP3, Dynamics AX 2009 SP1

Issue: the issue received during the AX 2009 reporting extension installation is in the beneath

An error occurred during setup of Reporting extensions.

Reason: Invalid namespace

System.Management.ManagementException: Invalid namespace

   at System.Management.ManagementScope.Initialize()

   at System.Management.ManagementObjectSearcher.Initialize()

   at System.Management.ManagementObjectSearcher.Get()

   at Root.MicrosoftIisV2.IIsApplicationPoolSetting.GetInstances(ManagementScope mgmtScope, String condition, String[] selectedProperties)

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.Setup.IdentityUpdater.GetAxReportServerAppPoolSetting()

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.Setup.IdentityUpdater.Update(Srs2005Wmi rsConfigSetting, String userName, String password)

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.Setup.Driver.RunReportingSetupManagerDeploy()

An error occurred during registration of the data source in SQL Server Reporting Services.

Solution:

AX Reporting Extensions requires .Net Framework 3.5 installed on the server. The .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 cannot support the instalaltion.

It requires to uninstall .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 and install .Net Framework 3.5 instead.
